The Admissions Experts was founded on the belief that applying to college is a family process. A parent’s involvement in the selection of their child’s future college is critical. Getting into a competitive college is getting harder.  Over the last ten years, competitive colleges have experienced an unprecedented increase in the number of applications, which has corresponded with an increase in the quality of the applicant pool. Guidance counselors do not provide enough support to students.  Many guidance counselors, at both public and private high schools, are responsible for between 50 to 300 students.  As a result, students fail to receive the one-on-one attention necessary to properly select “good fit” colleges, as well as to prepare their applications and essays to the best of their abilities.
